About the Item
We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely circa 1880-1900 hand made Chinese Chinoiserie Gateleg Sutherland extending table
A very good looking and well made piece, the finish is 100% original and untouched, it looks every bit of its 100-120 years. I have never seen another with a Chinoiserie finish, usually they are very plain timber
In terms of the condition we have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, there will be age and use related patina marks here and there, normal cup rings and marks to the top, this piece has been used every day so shows it age well
