About the Item
Very nice George 11 Mahogany card table in its original surface. Cabriole legs ending in nicely carved trifid feet. This piece has an early Spillman & Company label that was applied to it around 100 years after it was made. Starting in the 19th century as a cabinet maker, Spillman and Co. was one of London’s leading furniture dealers by the 1920s and 1930s. The company, based on St Martin’s Lane in the early 20th century, branded the early antique pieces sold through their store with a Spillman & Co emblem, hence the label on an 18th century piece. This table still retains the original fabric interior.
