Lovely Victorian Ebonized Game Table made by Jennens and Bettridge
About the Item
We delight to offer for sale an early Victorian ebonized and papier-mâché tip-top games table, the top inlaid with a mother-of-pearl chessboard, this table it was made by Jennens and Bettridge between 1840-1850 .
The firm of Jennens & Bettridge was reputed for perfecting techniques in the craft and manufacture of high quality papier mâché.
