William IV Mahogany Fold-Over Card Table Item Code: LC1132 Circa 1835 A fine William IV mahogany card table of elegant proportions and superb colour. The rectangular top with rounded front corners swivels and folds open to reveal a baize-lined playing surface, supported by a central baluster column. Decorative carved scroll brackets sit beneath the frieze, and the platform base is raised on bold scrolled feet with concealed castors. This beautifully crafted piece combines style and practicality, making it a striking feature in both period and contemporary interiors. For sale is a fine quality William IV rosewood writing table, possibly Scottish, with velvet inset surface to the central ratchet action flap, the underside with remains a paper label which reads "of Callendar / Callendar House, / Falkirk". The table is in very good condition for its age, with a lovely patina. The velvet inset is original and usable but would benefit from being replaced.
