Brazilian Midcentury Design, Caviuna and Cane Dining Chairs, 1950s

About the Item

This charming Triangular coffee table was designed in the 1950s. The three-leg table is composed of a solid Caviuna structure and has rounded corners. The table's top is made of glass, but its biggest highlight is a weave of natural cane, visible below the glass. Unlike the cane tradition in Brazilian furniture, the cane weaving in this coffee table presents rectangular forms, which results in a particular aesthetic.
