French 20th century Louis XIV style, giltwood and plaster center table with black marble top. This high French "Table à gibier", also known as a pedestal table or center console, was used to display wild game after the hunt. All four faces are decorated with alternating motifs of cartouche plumed masks and floral garlands. The sabot feet and scrolled legs echo the theme of the hunt.
