French Marble Top Center Table- Elaborately Carved & Textured
About the Item
A French ornately carved-wood center table with shapely marble top. This vintage table from France is nicely sized at approximately 6.75 feet in length. The mostly rectangular shaped marble top is gracefully bowed along either long end, has rounded corners and a gentle scalloped edge at either short side. The top overhangs a wooden base which has an elaborately carved skirt on all sides, with fabulously textured background and shell motif prominently featured at center apron. Each of the four legs from which this piece is presented, have carved bearded male figureheads at the knees and terminate into deer hoof feet. Coloring is primarily a golden/bronze with areas of muted red and green showing through in some areas. This vintage French table, with it's curvy marble top and ornate carvings on all sides, allow this piece to be a perfect option for being floated within a room, perhaps as a gorgeous center table.
