About the Item

A Louis XV style 19th century French centre or games table, the quality of which could be attributed to the Linke workshop in Paris. The table is completely veneered in various woods including tulipwood and amaranth with the top inlaid in a radiating geometric pattern. The top has a decorated gilt bronze border; the four legs also have finely chased gilt bronze decoration above and below the skirt. There are two drawers and two pullout writing / playing surfaces.

A Very Fine French Late 19th/Early 20th Century Louis XV Style Ormolu Mounted Kingwood, Bois Satine, Mahogany, Marquetry and Parquetry Gueridon (Round End-Table), in manner of François Linke (1855-1946).
