Henry Dasson Gueridon, 19th Century

About the Item

Fine quality late 19th Century marble topped Gueridon, with gilded ormolu mouldings and mounts, inset classical Wedgwood plaques, raised on turned tapering legs, united by a galleried under tier. By Henry Dasson Henry Dasson was a renowned nineteenth century Parisian maker of gilt-bronze mounted furniture. Unlike other cabinetmakers of the time Dasson began his career as a bronze sculptor, and consequently one characteristic of his work is the quality of his bronze and more precisely of the chiselling.
