Late 19th Century French Louis XVI Style Hand Carved Walnut Center Table

About the Item

This Louis XVI style walnut writing table from the late 19th century features a hand carved element of a classic crossed torch and quiver with a crown of laurels. Its beveled top rests above an apron detailed with gilded inset lines. Tapered fluted legs extend down to a curved X stretcher appointed with a central turned finial. Finished on all sides, this piece may be placed in the center of a room. From floor to apron measures 25 inches, circa 1890.
