About the Item

A sensational and extremely decorative Italian 19th century Neo-Classical st. patinated Wood and Giltwood center table. The stunning table is raised on a crossed and mottled patinated Wood base with Giltwood gadrooned bun feet. The base is accented with a Giltwood egg and dart band along the top edge, with four wonderfully detailed open winged swans standing proudly on Giltwood spheres. At the center are four circular columns decorated with spiraling grape vines, Giltwood plinths, and top acanthus leaf capitals with beaded bands. Above is the fanciful apron with a bottom egg and dart band below the recessed center with a swaging berried laurel garlands supported by tied bows all below a top Rais de Coeur edge, before the original fitted Sienna marble top. All original gilt and patina throughout.
