Refined and elegant Austrian Art Deco coffee table made of walnut painted black; it has a very clean and linear shape, aesthetically refined and pleasing; the upper round top is supported by solid legs with a wide section, at the end of which is attached another comfortable top, also round; the structure thus constructed is very sturdy and stable; The coffee table was made between 1930 and 1935 in a craft workshop in Riegersburg, a small Austrian municipality in the Südoststeiermark district of Styria, which is famous for furniture production, limited production but of a high standard; the craftsmen were inspired by the desire to devise a small-sized object with strong, simple lines and gave the coffee table a timeless elegance; its design and black color play between austerity and rigorousness, and its exaggerated linearity gives the object a dynamic and stately character. The craftsmen used "Juglans regia" wood called "national walnut" or "European walnut," which is a highly prized wood, among the absolute best in terms of quality, ease of workmanship, and durability. Because of its preciousness and special technical characteristics, walnut wood lends itself to a wide variety of uses, but always in contexts of the highest quality, making it particularly popular in the luxury furniture sector. In addition, walnut wood has a good aptitude for finishing, particularly both sanding and varnishing. Our coffee table has taken on a personal and unrepeatable charm, becoming a discreet and innovative piece of furniture, capable of creating calm and tranquil atmospheres, giving romanticism and sophistication to any type of furniture. It is a perfect and typical example of Art Deco, which, thanks to its charm and sophistication is capable of communicating to us suggestions of past times, tradition, and functionality. The object has been treated with ancient manual techniques of restoration by our team of craftsmen and is in excellent condition. Measurements diameter cm.60, height cm.46. For all our shipments we use special packaging materials (wooden crates, styrofoam, etc.) for maximum protection and safety of the objects.
