Art Deco Austrian Coffee-Tea Table in Walnut with Black Crystal Top

Original and valuable Austrian walnut table; it was made between 1930 and 1935 in a small carpenter's workshop in Abtenau, an Austrian town in the district of Hallein near Salzburg, in the small town there were several wood workshops and even today one of the most important Austrian furniture factories produces there: the Voglauer. The structure is very simple but extremely elegant, a solid square base with rounded corners supports, through a square column, an upper floor of the same shape but obviously larger, the top is finished with a beautiful black crystal, glued to the wood, with beveled edges, corners cut and rounded with grinding. For its realization has been used an exceptional quality of European walnut: it is a type of wood that for its rich coloring, dimensional stability, shock resistance, and strength is widely used in high-end furniture, during the Renaissance has supplanted the use of oak in fine furniture, in the seventeenth century has had wide space in England and France, was one of the preferred woods by the masters of Art Deco cabinetmakers. With the combination of this fine wood and black crystal, artisans have managed to create a piece of furniture fascinating, sophisticated, and compelling, which by virtue of its extreme elegance and its soft romantic line, makes it versatile and easily placed in any environment. The table is in good condition and the crystal is excellent and has no scratches or cracks. Measures width cm.60, depth cm.60, height cm.65. For all our shipments we use special packaging materials (wooden crates, styrofoam, etc.) for maximum protection and safety of the objects.
