About the Item
Cuban-born Clara Porset was a pioneer for modern design in Mexico. Having studied architecture in New York and then Paris, she finally settled in Mexico devoting her life to championing her mutually enriching vision of modernity and tradition. Her dedication to combining her deep appreciation for the craft traditions of Latin America with an international modern perspective was unmatched and gave Porset a timeless sensibility that deserves far greater recognition than received during her lifetime. The CP3 coffee table was one of many designs used in hi-end residential interiors in Mexico during the midcentury and working alongside UNAM (The National Autonomous University of Mexico) that holds the legacy to Clara Porset's archives, we meticulously recreate this beautiful piece at our factory in Cuernavaca, Mexico. Crafted in solid wood with a ½” glass top.
