Early 19th Century Swedish Folk Art Rustic Work Bench Coffee Table
About the Item
Northern Swedish work bench coffee table from the early 19th century, 1810 to 1830. The table is folk art, rustic and primitive made in solid pine. It is the most simple kind of table with three thick boards making up the table top and four legs. To add to the rustic feel is the authentic details such as the legs which are made from tree branches.
The table top has considerable distress and marks of use but on this piece it fits with the history and only adds to the character. The table is 54 cm high but the legs can be shortened if you’d rather have it lower. The width of the table top varies between 51.5 and 54 cm.
