About the Item
Crafted with inspiration from both Scandinavian and Japanese history, this piece beautifully combines two iconic elements: the feudal era and the fjords. Vikings, known for their legendary journeys, utilized fjords as launching points for their expeditions, while the samurai flourished during Japan's feudal era. This fusion of historical influences adds depth and character to the design of this exquisite furniture piece, which features traditional joinery and splayed angles. The base was crafted from Sapele, and the top was made from an understated and simple solid maple top.

The story of where our wood comes from adds character to our pieces. In fact, we plant a young tree for every piece we sell during our annual planting day in Bucks County, PA, USA.
