About the Item
Unique and Rare French Mid-Century Modern Side/ End or Coffee Table in the Modern Craftsman Tradition. This is a never produced prototype table in a striking, organic form in brass and gilt bronze. It reflects both naturalistic and modernist aesthetics with its open, transparent sensibility. Alberto and Diego Giacometti created unique pieces in bronze expressing modern, naturalistic, organic aesthetics. Their pieces were based on Etruscan traditions but were original. This piece expresses a similar unique spirit, organic in nature, hand-made and original in idea.
