About the Item
Stunning vintage Italian adjustable bird's-eye maple and granite coffee table designed by Giovanni Offredi for Saporiti in Italy, circa 1980s. This table has a fascinating design, where the materials used in its construction stand out combined with the versatility in its use, resulting in one of the most refined tables. Features two good-sized granite tops that, when they are separated, reveal a suitable-sized square compartment that can be used to store bottles. The tops are supported by chrome-plated steel bars, which are part of the table's mechanism to make the table appear larger. These steel bars come out of a square pedestal base made from bird's-eye maple, giving it a better color contrast to the design. It is important to mention that the granite top has stains caused by its age and use, but they do not detract from the quality of the product.
