Jørgen Høj for Niels Vitsøe, coffee table model '157', oak, steel, Denmark, 1961
A sizeable functional coffee table designed by Jørgen Høj for Niels Vitsøe in 1961. This piece is built out of several wooden slats that create a vivid pattern of long lines with dynamic grain. The top is supported by slender steel legs. A beautiful example of Scandinavian Modern design of the 1960s.
Please note that this table is in good, used condition. The table top shows some spots and patina formed over time. Restoration can be done before shipping by our experienced craftsmen and -women in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece contains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized restoration is possible as well.
