Art Deco Julius Jirasek for Werkstätte Hagenauer vintage coffee table or
side table, which was made of stained beech circa 1935, Vienna.
A very elegant and sleek vintage two tiered coffee table or side table M 6073 by Julius Jirasek for workshop Hagenauer made from solid stained beech in a warm brown color tone, woven cane (Wiener Geflecht) and an original black glass top.
The coffee table was carefully cleaned and shellac polished by expert´s hands, so the condition is very good.
Starting in 1930s Julius Jirasek was responsible for most of the workshop Hagenauer furniture designs.

Julius Jirasek
Julius Jirasek was an Austrian architect and for many years at the staff by (workshop) Werkstätten Hagenauer. Jirasek studied under Josef Frank and Oskar Strnad at the Kunstgewerbeschule. Jirasek-designed pieces, such as his furniture and utensils, are popular. Also, Jirasek designed two houses for the Wiener Werkbundsiedlung.
