Fabulous vintage Modern coffee tables with light oak frames & round light blue (Michael Graves signature color) laminate tops, 2 available, selling separately. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, one table had a nick in the laminate top that has been repaired. Please see photos, zoom in for details, and see long description as they are part of the condition report. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, Late 20th Century. NOTE: We also have a matching set of 4 club chairs in a separate listing here if they are still available in case you are interested. No need to adjust your viewing screen… YES, you are seeing double!! Double DYNAMIC, that is!!! These two coffee tables are comprised of round light oak frames and light blue or turquoise laminate tops (its Michael Grave’s signature color!) and they are being sold separately. They were specified by Michael Graves who redesigned the Topeka Public Library in 1998. The rest of the project’s furniture for the 100,000 square foot addition specified by him as well. He collaborated with several celebrity designers and created some of the most avant-garde and high style furniture in the 1980’s. SUPER COOL!!!! In addition to being great looking they are very sturdy. The construction method of these tables is celebrated with the joinery becoming the adornment. The open light oak frame is comprised of flat solid oak planks that are joined at the corners with beautiful box joints and the crossbars are joined to the open sides with large decorative bolts. And if THAT weren’t enough… they are topped with lovely light blue, turquoise or teal round surfaces. WOW!!!! One would be incredible in a living or family room surrounded by a pair of chairs or in front of your sofa. Or maybe you need BOTH… they would make GREAT end tables!!!
