Low Slung Walnut Midcentury Rectangular Coffee Table with Storage on Casters

About the Item

Handsome midcentury low-slung rolling coffee table with partial see thru open shelf and doored storage cabinet on brass ball casters. It is in fantastic vintage condition with no outstanding flaws we have detected. Unmarked circa 1960s-1970s. If you love walnut like me, you will adore this gorgeous coffee or cocktail table. It is unmarked but similar in style and material to many of the Founders Furniture pieces we have previously offered. Plus, the fact that Founders tended to have hang tags inside storage pieces, which of course most times did not stay with those pieces, seems to substantiate that as well. But, it is unmarked, and we have not been able to positively determine its maker. This fabulous table is comprised of a lower walnut slab on brass ball casters with a beautiful doored storage cube placed on one end and a vertical slab of walnut on the other, these two pieces on opposing ends hold up the walnut slab top and provide a see through open shelf. The doors of the storage cabinet are panelled and have touch latches for opening. This awesome coffee table is very long and low slung and gorgeous while at the same time very sturdy. It could also serve as extra seating. Modern in style but not so modern it can’t be transitional. It is beautiful, simple, versatile, and useful. What more could you want. Make it yours.
