A Mid Century Modern Sundra coffee table designed by Japanese-American architect, woodworker, and furniture maker George Nakashima (1905-1990) for Widdicomb Furniture Company of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Composed of walnut, the elongated and low-set biomorphic table features an organic shape. Three sections of walnut accompany a slightly angled adjoined edge that overhangs three tapered conical legs. The table is marked "Sundra" to the underside with the Widdicomb manufacturer tag affixed.
