About the Item
Rustic American Cobblers Table. American Craftsman style Cobblers table structurally solid having a distressed rustic patina of time and use. Solid Cherry wood. Cobblers tables became fashionable in furniture style and design after the Depression Era. During America's depression jobs where tough and people did what ever they could to get by. Many people took to cobbling one thing or another and would use a bench of this style to work on. This style of table found it's way into furniture design of the late 1930'3 all the way into the 1950's. This particular table appears to be from production in the 1940's and has seen use as a work table of bench. In the style of American Craftsman period. American 1940's. This table will ship flat, the legs unscrew easily.
