18th Century Blue Painted Library Refectory Table Console, Denmark

About the Item

This handsome baroque library table with one drawer has a scalloped skirt, heavily turned legs and traditional stretchers between the legs. The base has an aged and distressed blue painted finish which is old but not original to this pine refectory table that dates back to the late 1700's. The painted finish has been distressed revealing the natural wood below while complimenting the contrasting top which was left natural pine. Look closely at the pine top, which reveals generations of use seen in the wear, stains, aged-separation of planks, dried old wormholes, scratches, cracks and more. Restored, strong, stable and ready to be placed and used. All scratches, cracks (legs, feet and top), dings, and age related separation (top/drawer bottom) are reflective of age and do not detract from the appeal nor function of this heavy console table. Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition, and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting all impact how item is viewed. Photos are part of item description, please ask questions or request additional photos of specific areas if needed.
