18th century serpentine gesso and marble console table, the moulded specimen marble top raised over ornately carved frieze with centred plumed foliate motif flanked with C-scrolls and acanthus detail supported on cabriole leg with ornate C-scrolls, flower head and scrolling foliate decoration terminating on scroll foot.

Console tables are beautiful, graceful tables that also serve a practical purpose. These tables are aligned against a wall, often between two windows and/or placed beneath a mirror. You might find accessories or artwork resting on the marble or wooden tops.
