18th Century, Italian Baroque Wood Lacquered Consolle

About the Item

18th century, Italian Baroque wood lacquered consolle. This console table in carved and lacquered wood is a fine example of the baroque Venetian decorative repertoire. The four legs are characterized by an arched movement and the top is lacquered with faux marble. The refined console is a rare object for the colouring in red lacquer, quite unusual. Gold edging gives the object shine and refinement. Equally special for the era, is the sinuous and soft line that gives grace and lightness, extremely pleasant. In the important baroque Italian palaces, the consolles were among the most sought-after furnishings, emblem of the richness of the client, to show off in the large halls of representation. This type of furniture, highly decorative, is still today of great scenic effect and contributes to the majesty of every your environment that hosts it.
