About the Item
18th century Italian small scale pine console, with carved ram's heads on the terminals of each leg flanking a turbaned figure in the center, the cabriole legs ending in hoofed feet. The sides with carved faux drapery valences. The shaped scagliola top a wonderful red rust color with white veining imitating marble.
This sweet little table, likely Venetian, no doubt was originally gilt or painted. I love the stripped down surface, showing the wood grain and exquisite carving.
A sweet little table perfect for an entryway, foyer or even bathroom.
