About the Item

A 19th century Chinese dark wood (likely Elmwood) console table. Traditionally used for ceremonial purposes, as well as functional display pieces, this table features a characteristic long, narrow top. The clean, minimalist style, with fluted details imitation rows of bamboo were used in older pieces dating to the Ming Dynasty. It is constructed with traditional wood joinery, and has an open apron and narrow legs.

Created in China during the Qing Dynasty period in the 19th century, this wooden altar console table features a long and narrow rectangular top with central board and very distressed patina, sitting above a simple apron. Boasting a nicely weathered appearance revealing its good age and use, the table is raised on four slender straight legs showcasing horse hoof extremities.
