About the Item

A 19th century Chinese dark wood (likely Elmwood) console table. Traditionally used for ceremonial purposes, as well as functional display pieces, this table features a characteristic long, narrow top. The clean, minimalist style, with fluted details imitation rows of bamboo were used in older pieces dating to the Ming Dynasty. It is constructed with traditional wood joinery, and has an open apron and narrow legs.
