19th Century French Bleached Oak Refectory Table

About the Item

The weathered patina of the bleached oak wood draws one to this long refectory or library table with two functioning drawers from France. The attractive turned legs of the trestle base add to the visual appeal. Note that the long stretcher has carving along it, creating a type of visual wave to it. Note in close up photos the wood grain, old nicks, cracks, stains, scratches and separation of top planks that all add to the character of this impressive 8' long table. Restored, strong and stable. All scratches, cracks, dings, and age related separation (seen in top) are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this large refectory or console table.
