Art Deco Rectangular Wood and Goat Skin French Console Tables, 1920
About the Item
Very rich in movements, this console is unique in its kind also for the precious material with which it is coated.
The console is made up of a wooden top covered in goatskin, where the leather also covers the part of the side edge; The top rests on a frame in beech wood polished in black lacquer, moved to form a small acute angle in the centre. This richly shaped top is positioned on a structure that gives shape to a frame and four legs. Four long saber legs raise it from the ground, also in black lacquered beech wood. To note the movement of the frame on the front of the console, very beautiful and particular.
