Capital Console
About the Item
A console table with a marble top supported by Corinthian capitals. The top is a later addition with the capitals being reclaimed 18thC Caen stone capitals and bases to columns rescued from a London church demolished after bomb damage during the blitz. These are usual for the satyrs to the corners whose shoulders hold up the top of the capitals.
