Custom Post Modern Lucite and Glass with Bronze Ormolu Table
About the Item
Exceptionally clear and bright lucite and glass table with finely cast bronze ormolu. Beveled glass insert top with bronze ormolu mounts on the table's apron and legs. Featuring a shaped apron and cabriole legs. Circa 1970-80. The table comes from a grand home in Westchester county, NY and the back story is that it was possibly a custom made piece for the original owner.
Good overall condition with some very minor fine scratches to lucite and glass top and minor discoloration of the old adhesive in confined areas. Structurally sound and sturdy. The piece was well cared for and was never cleaned with ammonia or glass cleaner, hence the clear and bright see through condition of the cast lucite. Most older pieces of lucite are cloudy due to cleaning with ammonia products.
Measures: approximately 28.5" deep x 52" wide x 29.75" high.
