About the Item
An incredible and rare Cabinet from the iconic and fascinating Mid Century designer James Mont. With an unusual and highly decorative shaped form, the Cabinet is finished in Lacquered Silver Leaf which was laid down in a fashion creating a fantastic Abstract pattern. The Cabinet with two doors with Scroll pulls and a striking Red interior with a divided storage space having a shelf on each side.
Dimensions: 74.5” wide by 19.75” deep by 30.25” high.
Condition: Please see detail photos. Various signs of age and use include sporadic scratches and finish losses to the lacquer and the handles and their surrounding area as well as old staining to the interior shelves. There is finish loss due to the opening and closing of the doors as shown in photos. Despite the wear the Cabinet retains an incredible and artistic presentation.
