Extraordinary Pair Of Antique Of Neoclassical Style Barley Twist Console Tables
About the Item
An antique Neoclassical Style pair of antique console tables with classic form and superb presentation. Pair of ebonized and gilt console tables with variegated marble tops. The tables with tapering column form spiral twist front legs with elaborate gilt Corinthian column tops and smooth column form back legs, the apron with hand painted neoclassical images of reclining and seated veiled women accompanied by winged cherubs and stylized Greek key type motifs. The consoles with convex form box stretcher embellished with gold trim and the consoles resting on bun feet. The original stone tops with remarkable colors of Tan, Peach, Grey and Brown.
Dimensions: Each Console measures 48” wide by 15.5” deep by 34.25” high.
Condition: Please see all detail photos. There are various acceptable and enhancing signs of age including chips to the marble, a stable age-related split to the left-side facing top on the stone of one console, gilt loss and chips and a stable age-related split to a Column. All of the aforementioned is for accuracy as the Console Pair present in a most desirable, decorative and authentic manner.
