Fine Pair of Diminutive Empire Period Mahogany Console / Pier Tables, Circa 1820

About the Item

A very fine & diminutive pair of early 19th century French Empire period mahogany console / pier tables, showing later grey marble tops (one repaired) surmounting a flattened frieze decorated with finely chiselled gilt bronze mounts, raised on squared & tapering caryatid supports with polychrome painted capitals, terminating to gilt paw feet and fronting mirrored backs, raised overall upon plinth bases. The scale of these fine console tables will comfortably accommodate smaller living areas, entrance ways and or foyers. IMPORTANT NOTE: For all interested U.S. & Overseas clients, we are currently in the process of establishing a means to expedite the process of obtaining the necessary CITES export permit required to ship items constructed of mahogany - whether in part or in whole, to both United States & overseas clients. That being said, at this point it may take upwards of several weeks or possibly months to obtain the necessary CITES Export permit.
