French 19th Century Louis XV St. Giltwood Console with the Original Marble Top

About the Item

An impressive and extremely high quality French 19h century Louis XV st. giltwood freestanding console with the original marble top. The console is raise by sensational cabriole legs with exquisitely carved foliate movements, floral accents and a burnished reserve. The fanciful scrolling stretcher displays reeded patterns and is centered by a striking fine seashell reserve in a satin and burnished finish. The scalloped shaped frieze displays richly carved floral patterns and charming, highly detailed swaging floral garlands. Above is the original Rouge Griotte marble top with rounded edges and a mottled border. All original gilt.
