French Midcentury Brass and Reverse Painted Glass Console / Sofa Table, Baguès
About the Item
A Sober and Elegant French Mid-Century Modern Neoclassical console attributed to Maison Baguès in solid brass with an inset smoked glass top partially reverse painted to form a wide rectangular band in a muted grey around the edges. The console top is sublime and understated and the brass base has a unique distinguishing feature, its angled brass stretcher uniting the legs which elevates the design concept. The moderate size of this piece allows it to function in smaller spaces such entranceways and hallways.
