The Console Moderna "Indaco" is an entry/serving console designed and entirely handmade in Italy by the studio Justfurnituress. It is conceived as an atelier piece: a calibrated integration of solid wood, indigo artistic glass and solid brass, crafted to respond to the client's bespoke needs and to age gracefully over time.
Concept and Formal Language
The design centers on a visual tension between mass and lightness: a solid wood frame that contains and supports a slab of indigo artistic glass, lifted by brass legs that are robust yet visually slender. Clean lines, proportional balance and attention to junctions define a sober object with strong material presence.
Materials and Finishes
- Glass: hand-formed indigo artistic glass produced in a furnace. Characteristics: variable color depth, micro-inclusions and unique internal texture in each piece; edge finishing can be polished or lightly beveled.
- Solid wood: choice of walnut, poplar, or birch. Available finishes: raw oiled, matte pore-open lacquer, or custom stains; artisanal joinery highlighting grain and character.
