About

This console table designed to attach to a wall is made from what appears to be late 19th and early 20th century parts. It was most likely made from old parts in the middle to later part of the last century. The overall design idea is a Louis XVI style and the parts contain many Belle Époque elements, however the overall impression is that of a very solid and monumental piece of furniture. The cast iron apron is done in a robust egg and dart upper edge with a modified guioche and pelmet lower section. The legs taper to a square block foot and have raised fluting. The finish is an old black paint with rusts and reds showing through. The double thick bull nosed edge granite top is a yellow, black and brown speckled color.
