About the Item
Beautiful antique side table, narrow console table made entirely of lacquered and partly gilded wood, with a beautiful marble table top, completely in Louis XVI style, circa 1900 or earlier, France.
This rare French side table has a beautiful patina of age and is extensively decorated with acanthus scrolls, ribbons, rosette ornaments and patterns, a geometric shape at the bottom with a central wicker decoration, the whole carries a beautiful piece of Estours marble from the Pyrenees with green accents and an ivory-colored background (not the original marble).
This object comes into its own in a classic home but can also shine in a modern setting!
The table is in good antique condition, the wood has settled over the years so that the legs are no longer perfectly straight, the X-shaped frame at the bottom also shows a horizontal crack due to age, the whole is still very solid and sturdy, check the photos for more details!
