Machine Age Art Deco Demilune Console Table, Royalchrome Distinctive Furniture, Royal Metal This one is built like a tank and in near pristine restored condition. Royalchrome Distinctive Furniture, Royal Metal 1937 Catalog, Model No. 340 End Table. Wood top version. One of their better vintage "Deskey - like" pieces. Donald Deskey. Often attributed to Gilbert Rohde for Troy Sunshade. Similar to Wolfgang Hoffmann designs for Howell, and some KEM Weber / Alfons Bach designs for Lloyd. Hoffman, Hofmann Fairly large / tall for an American tubular chrome occasional table of this vintage. Very appealing design, with the bottom semi-circle inside the overall width and a classic three-tube center. Original re-lacquered black top, not a conceptual replacement.
