Mid-Century Danish Modern Pedersen & Hansen Palisander Console & Mirror Set

About the Item

An outstanding and unique Danish modern mirrored console set by Pedersen and Hansen, circa 1960s, Denmark. Exquisitely finished in luxuriously rich rosewood, with exceptional grain patterns, coloring and warm hues, accented with acid-etched copper inlays in relief, adding texture, beautiful contrast, while providing each inlay a unique abstract design. Large framed mirror, over rectangular chest of two drawers. Good quality, solid wood construction, dovetail joinery. Versatile. Can be used a variety of ways, together as designed, or separately, including a pier mirrored console in a hall, the low table becomes a floating wall hanging shelf with legs removed, or a diminutive bench in the foyer, ladies petite dressing vanity, or as designed, an elegantly stunning entry-way set! Both pieces are in excellent vintage condition with only minor signs of age. Beautiful patina over the whole. Moderately restored, retaining some original vintage character, delivered deep cleaned, hand waxed, polished to perfection, and ready for many years of use.
