About the Item

This art deco -- Hollywood Regency influence shelf is irresistible. The wrought iron design is in touch with nature with the papillon form. The marble top could be any age but that wonderful scrolled iron base has an Art Deco/Hollywood Regency look to it, according to the appraiser. She says it may have been designed for wall mounting, in spite of its weight. She says the unfinished/flat edge of the marble top certainly confirms that it was meant to be up against a wall. Thinking this could have been a wall-mounted console table rather than a shelf. You can decide! The triangular variegated marble top with molded side edges and flat rear edge raised on a shaped scrolled wrought iron base. Unsigned. Dimensions: 32 inches tall, 32 inches wide, 16 inches deep CONDITION: This table is in good condition with minor wear (rustication / oxidation to iron base. Shipping credit offered!
