About the Item

This exquisite pair of Italian Rococo Style-style console tables circa 1850 epitomize the design and craftsmanship of the period. Each console is surmounted by a white molded marble top above a frieze carved with foliate designs and features stunning gilt detailing throughout. Aprons feature opulent scrollwork and floral motifs surrounding a central medallion featuring the bust of a nobleman. Gracefully curving cabriole legs are adorned with acanthus leaves and connected by an elegant stretcher featuring a prominent urn finial. The pairing of gilding with cream colored paint creates a strikingly elegant contrast.
