Pair of Spanish Rococo, Louis XV Style Console Tables

About the Item

Pair of Spanish 19th century console tables in the Rococo - Louis XV style or Carlos III (king of Spain between 1759 and 1788) style. Made of hand-carved gilded wood with traditional rococo decoration of garlands of flowers and foliage as well as stylized shells, resting on two legs that meet in a new shell, delicately entwined with the foliage. Table top in "Emperador Oscuro" (Dark Emperor) marble, a very famous and sophisticated marble from South Spain, mainly the provinces of Alicante and Murcia. The consoles are in a very good used condition, they have been cleaned, and after the cleaning the original gold has appeared in all its splendor, which gives the pieces even more quality than they already had thanks to the fine carving of the wood.
