About the Item

Qing Dynasty console table, Chinese. Made of Ym Mu (elm). Floating panel top, over two drawers with metal (possibly paktong) disc & ring turned hardware, over framed aproned opening with lattice design lower shelf. Circa 1800 and later parts for repairs from other pieces. Provenance: J. Collins & Sons, Bideford, Devon, 9/18/1995 to the Dr. John Fryer Collection (London & Chapel Hill). 34 7/8" w., 17 1/8" d., 33" h.
