About the Item
A fine late Regence period Console Table, the body with rich carving in the early Rococo style popularized by influential "ornemanistes" such as Nicolas Pineau (1684 - 1754). This particular example is a variation of a published design by the architect, Pierre Contant d'Ivry (1698-1777)
Capped by the striated white Marble top. Dating from the first quarter of the 1700s, and originating in France.

The table free-standing on four double C-scroll flower-wrapped supports, joined by a shaped X-form stretcher centered with a Rocaille cartouche and atop in-scrolling feet.
