Stunning Antique Regency Hardwood Giltwood & Marble Eagle Carved Console Table
About the Item
We are delighted to offer for sale this very rare late Regency, hand carved Rosewood, Giltwood console table with thick green marble top and eagle pillared legs sitting on claw & ball feet.
This table is stunning, I would say early 19th century circa 1820-1840, the timber patina is exquisite as is the carving, as you can see the table has two full sized eagles, each with the original giltwood finish which has nicely aged, the marble top is thick and green, heavily veined, it is very artistic
The table has been lightly restored to include a deep clean, hand condition wax and hand polish, it will have normal age and use related patina marks here and there as you would expect from a piece this age
