This smart Victorian console table features a beautifully crafted Carrara marble top of serpentine shape, accentuated by an attractive ogee lip. The giltwood and gesso base is a true testament to the era's craftsmanship, showcasing an intricately carved frame with striking central 'C' scrolls and scrolling foliage details. The table stands on elegant cabriole legs, adorned with finely detailed acanthus leaf carvings at the knees and feet, adding to its charm.
Adding to its provenance, the table retains an original trade label from a historical framer and gilder linking it to its C19th origins.
Condition wise the table remains in original condition, displaying the natural wear and patina expected with age, giving it a genuine antique character.
